House Band Rocks the Gazebo

Music can be therapeutic. So, it should be no surprise when those in healthcare pursue musical interests. Over the fourth of July weekend, a physician, a nursing executive, a clinic director, a foundation director, and a mental health professional and his wife (who is also a guitar instructor) made their public debut as the Allegan General Hospital House Band.

By the river in downtown Allegan, and the historic steel bridge, and the fountains, and the riverwalk, these six individuals played two hours of music (of all kinds) as an outreach to the community and to raise funds for the Allegan General Hospital Foundation (specifically, to benefit the Allegan Neighbors Fund, which provides individuals and families facing hardship with help related to the care they need).

Gifts come in many interesting ways, and many believe that the new Allegan General Hospital House Band is a wonderful new gift indeed. For more information about the band, contact the Foundation office at (269) 686-4234, or by email at brlar@aghosp.com.
